Powerful, robust and easy to install: The totalizing counter Colibri 490
The mechanical totalizing counter Colibri 490 from Hengstler offers contactless and, thus, maintenance-free operation. The display of the counter is also capable of indicating large values, while its compact design allows for exceedingly easy installation.
This totalizing counter is distinguished by its high counting frequency of up to 20 figures per second. This feature makes the Colibri equally ideal for use with machines that boast extra high clock speeds. In addition, the counter is equipped with a 6- to 7-digit readout with 4 mm tall figures: This makes it possible to display large values as well.
Since it is actuated by a magnetic field, the counter mechanism of the Colibri 490 is protected from dust and dirt. Since payments are made contactless, the Colibri does not require any maintenance and has a lifetime of up to 10 million switching operations. Its compact dimensions (27x25x20 mm) make this counter also an excellent choice for applications with very limited installation space. The Colibri 490 will withstand shocks of up to 20g and 2g and continue to work flawlessly even if subjected to vibrations of up to 2g at 150 Hz. Neither strong jets of water nor extreme temperatures between –10 °C and +50 °C can impair the operation of the counter.
The Colibri 490 is ideally suited for internal cycle counting in the area of use-related maintenance. The field of application ranges from monitoring point switching cycles in rail traffic to counting the lifting operations of roller shutters and the pump cycles of pneumatic pumps to registering the clamping processes in hydraulic clamps or the number of bags filled by an automatic filling system. The Colibri 490 is also a great choice for monitoring assembling and production equipment.
As it cannot be manually reset to zero, the counter also reflects 1:1 the lifetime condition of the corresponding mechanical system. That way, it indicates, for instance, unusually heavy wear.
The Colibri 490 can be installed with ease using hose clips or mounting plates. The user can freely select the installation location and the installation position.
