Hengstler's statement on the disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE)
Hengstler's commitment to sustainable business does not end with the purchase of the product. We offer environmentally friendly product take-back and recycling programs to business and private customers in numerous countries around the world. These offerings are designed to meet specific customer needs and geographic needs, while maximizing the reuse, recycling and/or environmentally sound disposal of waste electrical and electronic equipment (WEEE) or parts thereof.
Hengstler
Hengstler's commitment is committed to a safe and intact environment and strives to comply with WEEE legislation worldwide. We ensure that Hengstler and all products sold by Hengstler comply with these regulations by:
- design our equipment with future dismantling, recovery, reuse and recycling requirements in mind;
- label our products with the necessary symbols and inform users that waste electrical and electronic equipment should not be disposed of with general waste but via the recycling systems provided for this purpose;
- carry out the reporting required by the relevant legislation;
- facilitate the collection, recycling and disposal of WEEE from private and non-private households (businesses) in accordance with applicable rules;
- Waste treatment centres provide relevant information in accordance with the requirements set by local regulations.
Hengstler continues to work with WEEE consortia, recycling suppliers and its intermediaries/resellers to provide efficient processes for meeting WEEE obligations and to optimize these processes. Hengstler closely follows the development of upcoming WEEE regulations and their implementation into national law, as well as changes to existing WEEE and Ecodesign regulations, to ensure that all applicable requirements are always met.
Recycling-Programm
In order to prevent the product price from increasing due to the additional costs incurred by the take-back obligation, we would like to meet our obligation to dispose of WEEE with the following recycling system and thus continue to enable the smooth distribution of our products:
- Hengstler GmbH bears the costs for further processing, reprocessing, recycling and recovery of the equipment after its delivery to a recycling partner plant.
- Hengstler GmbH has outsourced this service to Remondis SE & Co. KG.
- Hengstler GmbH covers the costs of data management and reporting to government agencies to demonstrate compliance with all administrative requirements related to the WEEE Directive.
- In return, our customers undertake to cover the costs of collecting the old equipment and transporting it to Hengstler GmbH.
- Our customers transfer to Hengstler GmbH all rights to further processing, reprocessing, recycling and environmentally friendly disposal of the product free of charge and without incurring any future liabilities. The customer guarantees that he is the clear owner of the product and is entitled to return it.
- Hengstler GmbH and its recycling partner institute assume no responsibility for products sent in error and do not guarantee the proper return of these products to the customer. The customer is responsible for all costs associated with products sent in error.
- It is the customer's responsibility to follow the instructions received. In the event of non-compliance, Hengstler-GmbH cannot be held responsible if the returned equipment is sent to other collection systems.
Product Returns
Simply follow the steps below to return Hengstler electrical and electronic equipment:
- Identify the equipment to be returned to Hengstler GmbH.
- Uninstall and package the devices. If necessary, delete all data on the device first.
- Please fill out the WEEE return form carefully and completely and include it with your return. (Mandatory fields are marked in red)
- Send us your devices to the following address: Hengstler GmbH WEEE Return Uhlandstr. 49 D-78554 Aldingen (Germany)
- Please send us the package properly packed and sufficiently postaged. Unstamped parcels cannot be accepted.
- Hengstler GmbH bears the costs for further processing, reprocessing, recycling and recovery of the equipment after its delivery to a recycling partner plant.
