| Environmental Policy |
 For us at Hengstler GmbH, a sound environmental policy is part of our company mission and a basic prerequisite for the future success of our enterprise.
Adhering to the relevant rules and regulations is mandatory for us.
It is one of our top priorities to comply with all the environmental standards which are applicable to us.
We strive to design environmentally friendly products and use our valuable resources in a targeted and economical way. Special technical and organizational methods are employed to minimize production residues and waste as well as pollutant emissions and waste water. We want all our employees to work in a clean and safe environment - so we have reduced hazardous substances to the absolute minimum. Our employees are carefully instructed concerning the handling of these substances, and they are requested to remedy any environmental hazards and/or immediately report them to the responsible staff. Environmental protection requires responsible action – by all of us.
Our environmental goals are redefined on an annual basis and integrated in our Environmental Program, which involves all our staff members.
 Clear definition, implementation and regular monitoring of these goals ensure the continuous improvement process in our company. Our management encourages the special responsibility of our management team concerning information, training, motivation and leading our employees towards committed and responsible action.
Steps are taken to guarantee that subcontractors working at our premises use and comply with the same environmental standards that are applicable to us.
Internal audits are conducted at regular intervals to ascertain the quality and functionality of our Enviromental Management System. If deviations to the desired status are found, corrective action will be initiated and its implementation will be monitored regularly.
